To whom it may concern,
I have always believed that every Jew should visit Poland, at least once. Not only to see first-hand the evidence of the Shoah and visit the places where our greatest national tragedy occurred, but also to explore the richness of the thousand year Jewish experience in Poland.
All this we accomplished on our recent tour to Poland under the brilliant tutelage of Sara Pellach. She not only provided historical and religious background to each city and shtetl we visited, she made the trip come alive for each one of us. Through personal vignettes of the Holocaust and through intimate knowledge with each locale, Sara allowed us to see Poland not only as it is today, but also as it was in times past.
As we traveled to Warsaw, Krakow, Lublin, Zamosc and other cities, we shared an experience that was, as Sara put it, “a week of our lives and a week for all our lifetime.”
I highly recommend Sara for any individual or group seeking to experience the momentous life of our people in Poland.
Sincerely Rabbi Stewart Weiss Executive Director, Jewish Outreach Center
